To protect your home from “un-insured” house cleaners be sure to ask for proof of insurance.
Simply ask the house cleaning service to have their insurer fax or mail you a copy of their insurance certificate. Never accept a photo copy of the certificate of insurance as you will have no way of knowing whether it is current. Without proof of insurance directly from the insurance company, you may be paying the rates of a house cleaning company with insurance while unknowingly putting yourself at risk every time the house cleaner is on your property.
Every reputable company will be happy to provide proof of insurance. You will have the peace of mind knowing that every time your home is cleaned your are protected from damage to your property and injury to the house cleaners while on your property.
